Pablo Fornals seems to have started enjoying his stay in London and is ready to attack the second half of the 2019/20 season after scoring a first Premier League goal for the Hammers in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.
The Spanish midfielder finished from Felipe Anderson’s low cross and adds to his three assists in his previous five outings.
“I’ve had five, six matches playing better than at the start now,” Fornals said, “I’m feeling good, I’m feeling confident and I want the same as my teammates – to help the team to move up the table.
“When I speak with my family in Spain, I’m telling them that now I’m enjoying [playing in] this league. This is the best league in the world and I’m blessed to play here.
“But we were disappointed on Saturday because I think we cannot lose this kind of game. We are not in our best moment, but we will train hard and keep going to try to reverse this situation.
“In this moment every game is important for us. We need to play as a team and keep going.”
